UMPIRES INFORMATION PAGE

Fellow umpires, the 2023 season is fast approaching! It is time to dust off your rule book and start brushing up on your knowledge of the game! Also talk with friends who might want to umpire for the first time, we are always looking for more “Blues” aged 12 and up.

Registration is now open on the BCBUA website. If you are a returning umpire, please log in to your BCBUA account at www.bcbua.ca to complete your 2023 registration, and pay the appropriate youth or adult registration fee. If you have lost your membership number, please contact the BCBUA and they will look it up for you. New umpires may create a new account.
The registration fee will be reimbursed for VBA umpires on your first pay-cheque.

All classroom clinic education sessions will be held online again this year through www.bcbuaeducationportal.net
Make sure you have created an account on that site using your BCBUA number. For returning umpires, you will be able to review material from last year… a great refresher while we wait for the snow to melt!

A reminder that the virtual session and online exam is only half of the clinic requirements. There will also be an on-field session for each level which will be held on April 15 at 8:30am. If you wish to umpire this coming season and cannot make the Vernon On-Field clinic date, there are other dates and locations available. Please visit the BC Umpires Association website and follow the instructions for registering.
