Pee Wee (13U) Spring Baseball

Peewee (13U) Spring Baseball will begin early April 2018. In the spring, we anticipate having 5-6 Peewee (13U) A teams and 2 Peewee (13U) AA team.

The Peewee (13U) A teams will play mostly against other Vernon teams, but will also be encouraged to play a limited number of games against teams outside of Vernon. Players considering playing Peewee (13U) A baseball, should be prepared to practice once a week and play twice a week, with the odd game being played outside of Vernon.

The Peewee (13U) AA teams will play an interlock schedule with Kamloops, Kelowna, West Kelowna and Penticton. The AA teams will practice two or three times a week plus games during the week or on weekends depending on field availability. Registering for the Peewee (13U) AA level requires a commitment to play baseball from early April to the second week of August. The registration fee covers both Spring and Summer seasons.

Evaluations

Evaluations for Peewee (13U) A and Peewee (13U) AA baseball teams will be held in early April 2017. The dates and times for evaluations will be emailed out once fields have been opened for the season.

Peewee (13U) A

Team practices for Peewee (13U) A teams will start in mid April. Teams will be provided one scheduled time slot per week for dedicated practice and can book extra field time when fields are available. The booking of the batting cage will also be encouraged to increase practice time.

Games will likely be played between Monday and Thursday evenings beginning in early May and will continue through mid-June 2018. Games will begin at 6:00 pm and end at approximately 8:00 pm, depending on the time of year, light being the determining factor. As mentioned above, there will be some amount of travel as we want our Pee Wee A (13U) teams to experience playing teams outside of Vernon as well as teams within Vernon.

Peewee (13U) AA

The Peewee (13U) AA teams will practice two to three times a week, and play games as scheduled in the Interlock Division. These games can be scheduled any day of the week and will result in travel outside of Vernon. Most games are played on the weekends.

Summer Peewee (13U) Baseball

In 2018, we expect to have one Peewee (13U) AA summer team and one Peewee (13U) AAA summer team. This year Vernon has been awarded the honor of hosting the Peewee AAA Provincials, which will take place August 2nd to 6th at Creekside Park.
